Analysis of the biomass pellet market in 2017

Will the market for biomass pellet in 2017 be as hot as in 2016? We need to analyze this problem from two aspects: the price and investment of biomass pellet machine production line and the price of biomass pellet fuel. 



1. The price and investment of biomass pellet machine production line
The first problem is too broad, ranging from 10,000 to 10 million. There are a lot of factors that determine the price:
Production: it is the first main factor to decide the price. Pellet machine of large output is large in size that the price is high. That is to say, the price is almost proportional to the output of pellet machine. For example, if the price of a pellet machine with the output of 1 ton per hour is 200000, then the output of 2 tons is 400000.
Raw material: the raw material for making biomass pellet fuel is 2-6mm in size with the moisture of 10-15%. The raw material need to be processed if not meet the needs of this condition. For example, if you use branches or waste material as the raw material for making pellets, then you need to use the crushing equipment to make the size of the material smaller, and if the moisture content of the material is larger, you need to have the drying equipment, so the price of the production line would be higher.
Process: it refers to the automation degree and operation mode of production line. The price is higher with high degree of automation. The dust in the production would be less with high sealing degree in operating and conveying, thus the price will be higher. If the process is simple, the price would be cheap.
Quality: now there are many pellet plant manufacturers in the market with various qualities. The technology of the old manufacturer is higher, the precision of equipment assembles and the stability of the equipment are also higher, thus the price would be higher. As the saying goes, the higher the price, the better the quality. It is recommended to choose the manufacturer and equipment with good and stable technology-support.

2. The price of biomass pellets
There are many kinds of wood pellet sold in the market now: sawdust pellets, straw pellets, cotton stalk pellets, peanut shell pellets, etc. The price of these pellets varies.
Pure wood pellets (miscellaneous wood) : the heat value is about 4 000 to 4500 calories, and the price is between 800 and 1200 yuan per ton.
Straw pellets: the heat value is around 3,500 to 3,800 calories with the price of 600 to 900 yuan per ton.
