1. The biomass pellet fuel contains no sulphur or phosphorus without corrode the boiler which prolong the service life of boiler. And the enterprise can benefit from that.

2. The biomass pellet fuel has high thermal value, the thermal value is between 4000-4800 kilocalorie/kg and it is up to 7000-8000 kilocalorie/kg after carbonization. 

3. The ash content of biomass pellet fuel after consumption is high quality organic potash fertilizer; it can be recycled for profitability.

4. The biomass pellet fuel has high purity without other impurities which do not produce heat. The biomass pellet fuel is mostly straw crops processed and pressed into renewable fuel with the pellet shape or block shape.  According to the Swiss and EU classification standard of biomass pellet fuel, the character of biomass pellet fuel can be described roughly as below, if the intermediate classification value is taken as example. The diameter of pellet fuel is usually 6-8mm, the length is 4-5 times of its diameter, and the broken rate is less than 1.5%-2.0%, the dry basis moisture content is lower than 10-15%, the ash content is below 1.5%, Sulfur and chloride content is below 0.07%, nitrogen content is less than 0.5%. If the bounder is added, it should be the agriculture production which should be labeled the type and amount for use. The EU has no specific specification for heat value for biomass pellet fuel. But the sellers should be labeled clearly. The heat value of Swiss standard is usually over 16.9MJ.
 

Developing biomass energy has both good ecological and social benefits. The French government believes that development of biomass fuel not only can protect the environment and mitigate climate change, but also promote the sustainable development of agriculture; the biomass fuel can be a replacement of traditional fuel like gas and coal etc, the imported crude oil decrease about 1, 100, 0000 t, which is equal to save 25 billion to 30 billion euro and reduce 1,600,0000t carbon emission. The practical experience in U.S has indicated that biomass fuel power station has higher labor intensive degree than the traditional power station. The France government is carrying on the biomass pellet fuel development planning in 2004, which can create and supply 3, 0000 jobs all over the country. China’s labor cost is low and every 100 billion value of biomass fuel industry can provide 100, 0000 job positions. The annual net consumption of China’s existing forest is 3439500000m3, the firewood account for 29.8%，102500000m3. If this firewood are pelletizing into biomass fuel for power generation (the power generation efficiency is 30%). It can generate 1230 billion Kwh and the annual production value is 369 billion which increase about 369000 job positions.
 

The promotion of biomass pellet fuel need to get the government support and the government can be of support from draft energy tax and policy for environmental protection to develop the biomass fuel industry.
