What's the effect of high moisture capacity of raw material

Moisture content of raw material greatly affect wood pellet mill. Requirement of moisture content of raw material of wood pellet mill is generally 15%-20%. Generally speaking, drying method is being used with regard to the issue of high moisture of moisture content to operate the wood pellet mill. Be sure not to much moisture or it will affect the ratio of briquetting.

 

1. When dump raw material is being put into wood pellet mill, the pressure cylinder forces the material through a die and it will produce high pressure. High pressure leads to high temperature and abundance vapor.


 

2. Motor of wood pellet mill work overload, when the material is press through a die. If the case continued, the motor will stop work and affect work of bearings in the cylinder.
 

3. When the material is being press through a die, high pressure is generated from damp material. It leads to low speed of passing and affect the output of wood pellet mill.
 

4. The outputting pellets may be very soft, loose and may be present as small patches. Those small patches which contain a lot of moisture content will expand at first and then released water content. So, it’s impossible for small patches to realize an ideal statement as smooth and dense cylinders. 
 

About the type of rotate wood pellet mill, there are two concepts with regards to the moisture content of raw material. First, raw material’s own moisture content. Second, add water into the machine during process.  More or less of water content of raw material is not only decided by the nature of material but also by the water addition jointly. That’s the reasons that rotate wood pellet mill demands water addition to mould. The pattern of water addiction is standardized by functional use and by mould as the result. The jetting way, drenching way and other ways are being used now.
