Preparation of pellet mill before use

After the pellet mill has been delivered at home, each part of the screws must be check whether has loosening. 
1. Checks up whether the operating direction is identical with the labeled direction of the machine before start. Loose two screws at the two sides of the machine cover, and the machine started without any load.
 
2. Take out about 5kg of mixture of feedstock or rice bran, and add 0.5-1 kg of vegetable oil and stir them fully. And each 1.5kg of them is separated as a pile, as well as 0.5 Jin of vegetable oil for mixing. Put a small handful of feedstock in the hopper and start the machine, adjusting the screws that make the compression roller and the die rotate. The clearance between the roller and die is usually 0.1-0.3mm, and pellet is compressed out. At the beginning of the compression, a small amount of oil materials is added. If it can not compress out the pellet, and stop the machine and drill the hole of the die. Then do it repeatedly as the above method until it can compressed out the pellet. The die hole becomes smooth after 15-30 times of repeated running-in. When the oil material is over at the 30 times, the processed feedstock should be followed. When the processing is ready to finish, the oil materials should be processed one more time which make the oil material feed into the die hole and make it smooth. At the second time of processing, loose up the adjustment screw and feed the oily materials as above the method. When the die and roll has been processed for about thousands of Jins, there is no use to process the oily material.

3. During the production, the high fiber content material should be added with some oily materials (like Bean cypress, soybean and tea cake). The processed feed should be added with 3% of water for mixing, and there is not any influence to the feed quality. Because the processed hot feed can evaporate water, the proper degree can be confirmed on the basis of practical experience. The length of the finished feed should be controlled by adjusting the cutters up or down position. .

4. The bearing of the compression roller should be unpacked to coated with high temperature anti oil grease after the roller has been processed about 5000kg of feedstock. Due to the high temperature, the oil quality has big influence to the lubrication. For the diesel engine pellet mill, the gear oil in the gear box should be examined regularly. The completely maintaining should be carried out every half a year, and the main shaft and bearing should be coasted with high temperature lubricant oil. 
 
5. For the safe production, the cover of the box are unpacked, the electricity should be cut out and press the on-off button, then the compression roller and the die could be unpacked by hand and other tools.
