Maintaining of compression roller of pellet mill

During the using of compressing roller of pellet mill, several pair of roller can be used by turns, and this is good to keep the smoothness of the ring die working surface. We all know that the higher degree of smoothness of the ring die surface, the higher the yield and service life. And the pellet quality is comparatively stable. The operation method is like this: when the new ring die are matched with a pair of compression roller, the roller must be replaced by the time 50% of service time. A pair of new roller is being used. When the second pair of roller has been used for about 1/2 of the service time, it has to be replaced by the third pair. When the third roller are out service time, the former used compression roller can be used, to ensure the ring die are matched with the smooth roller by the time of 60% of service time. This keep the smoothness of the ring die surface with balanced pressure. If only two pair of rollers is required to use, the second roller can be used completely. Then the first pair of used roller can be used again. 

1. One side of compression roller of pellet mill is bigger than the other side
It means that the clearance of main shaft of pellet mill is much bigger or the main shaft is bending; the bearing head of compression roller and the copper sheathing has clearance; the wearing of feeding cutter cause uneven feeding; examine the pellet mill and replace of the bearing head and feeding cutter

2. The center parts of pellet mill compression roller is bigger than the two ends
The uneven feeding or the time of using one pair of compression roller with one ring die is too long; several pair of compression roller should be used by turns. The quick wearing of compression roller and low wearing of ring die are advantageous to the normal wearing of ring die and roller which make the two sides has smooth surface and advantageous to the production.

The irregular wearing of working surface
The irregular wearing surface is due to the slip hemming of compression roller or the uneven feeding process as well as the tight clearance between the roller and die. If the two sides have bulges, the whole circle surface should be polished; the top of roller gear is out of shape, it can be repaired by emery cutter; there are foreign bodies in the center of the gear groves like the iron scrap, it should be taken out. 

The adjustment of clearance of compression roller of pellet mill
The clearance of roller bearing affects the normal operation of compression roller, so it is necessary to examine and adjust the clearance regularly. The standard is: “under the condition of no grease resistance, the eccentric shaft has no movement by hand pulling and has flexible rotating”. At this time, there is no use to add grease to the machine when installing the compression roller. The bearing should be soaked into the 40# machine oil before installing. The grease should be added when the compression roller are installed.
