The raw materials of biomass pellet fuel are very extensive, they can be the crop straw, wood processing waste such as wood chips, bark, etc.. All of the raw material with lignin can be used to make biomass pellet fuel. The following is the basic process of the production of biomass pellet fuel:
 
Material storage:
Sawdust is mainly used as raw material. The raw material storage is about 500 square meters. In order to ensure the normal, continuous production, it need to ensure at least 15 days production of raw materials needs. A roof is needed for Raw materials storage to keep out the rain, lightning and wind. The distance between fire separation of production area and living area should be above 50 meters, and the road for more than 30 meters, away from the power transformer for more than 30 meters. The isolation measures and complete fireproofing facilities should be prepared to ensure the safety.

Screening:
The raw materials will be sent into a sieve screening by auger conveyor, the large block of wood, nails and other debris will be separated out.

Drying:
Biomass molding fuel has stringent requirements on the moisture content of raw materials. After screening, raw materials are conveyed to the drum dryer through the auger screw conveyor to be dried through the hot air.

Cyclone separation:
In the process of transmission of raw material after drying, there is a large amount of moisture, a cyclone separator can help to drain the moisture. The system is provided with 2 cyclone separators, and the forming fuel after cooling is required to go through a cyclone separator to separate the fuel and moisture.

Material delivery:
The system of goods transport requires corresponding transmission equipment. According to the need, the design uses a screw conveyor, auger screw conveyor and elevator to transport the material to the corresponding equipment.

Pelletizing:
Biomass pellet machine is the key equipment of production line, this system uses KMPM520 type of biomass pellet machine with the power of 160kW. Its output can reach 1.5-2 tons / hour. This equipment can process sawdust, corn straw, soybean straw, cotton straw and peanut shells of different raw materials with stable equipment operation. The density of wood pellet fuel processed can reach 1.0-1.3 tons / cubic meter. The system is equipped with 3 pellet mills, with 2 for use, and 1 for backup.

Cooling:
The temperature of biomass pellet fuel after discharging can be 80℃ to 90℃, its structure is relatively loose and easy to be broken. They must be cooling to room temperature after counterflow cooling system, then can be bagging storage or sent into the silos through a belt conveyor and elevator. The device is equipped with a cooling fan and a cyclone separator, which can be used to return the separated powder to the preceding step, and then be re - granulated.

Screening:
After cooling the pellet fuel need to be screened by the vibration sieve, and the crushed material is selected to ensure the quality of the biomass pellet fuel. The crushed material been screened out will return to the previous process, then be re - granulated.

Packing:
The last step is bagging. If it is for sold, you need to weigh and seal. If it is for your own use, it can be directly put in woven bag with tying and stacked.
