How to improve the output of pellet plant?

Pelletizing is the process of making waste materials into solid fuel. The pellets are then used for thermal combustion. Wood pellets are one of the most common products of pelletizing. Pellet plant is widely used for rice husk, palm fiber, corn stalks, cotton stalks, wheat straw rice straw, peanut shell, corn cob, branches, leaves, sawdust and other crops in rural areas , solid waste, furfural-residue, edible fungus dregs, and Chinese herbal medicine residue etc. This plant is suitable for various kinds of materials whose moisture content is less than 15%. The machine is fully automatic electric heating, and can adjust the humidity of materials to deal with problems of congestion and not forming. Small wood pellet plant is a full set of mechanized production equipment. It can convert biomass raw material and solid waste into energy fuel with high density. The small pellet plant has advantage of simple structure, easy operation, high automation (1 worker to operate).
Raw Material
 
Wood pellet production line that is frequently known as large scale wood pellet plant, is required to fabricate wood pellets for creating energy from ready raw materials (wood chips, saw dust, planer particles, etc.). Pellet production lines vary in dimensions from three kilowatt to 375 kilowatt (five horsepower to 500 horsepower) or bigger. Production volume for wood pellets per wood pellet production line might vary from 90 kilos each hour to eight tons each hour (200 pounds to 9 tons). Loose wood raw material will probably be compressed from about 100 kg/m3 to 650 kg/m3 (6.five lb/ft3 to 40.five lb/ft3) offering a remarkably dense and efficient item.
 
Wood pellet plant can work continuously, and several machines can work together at the same time. Feeding machine and conveyors can feed the material automatically which greatly reduce the workload. 
1. The mixing of coarse fiber content and fine fiber content 
Different material has different features which has varied performance during pelletizing. Proper combination of coarse fiber and fine fiber content is a good ideal to get good result of pelletizing.  

2. Moisture content of material 
Moisture content is always the important factor of affect the pelletizing efficiency. The moisture content should be take good control before feeding into the hopper. Also the moisture content requires to uniform for the material. For example, an automobile run an a highway 100 kilometer even 150 kilometer without problems, but it can not work at the place with many people. The principle is the same with the pellet plant. 

3. Proper particle size of crushed machine 
Crushing the material into the most proper particle size is the way to improve the efficiency of pellet plant. As for different shapes and texture of material, the crushing machine, debark machine, wood sheered should be used.  

4. Compression ratio 
First, we have to understand the concept of compression ratio. Compression ratio is in connection with ring die pellet mill. Actually, compression ratio means that the actual lengths of ring die / actual diameter of ring die holes. In theory, the bigger the compression ration, the bigger output of pellet plant. The disadvantage of it is that the discharging speed is low and the holes are easy to be block. The compression ration has directly connection with the output of pellet plant. 

Of course, the output of pellet plant also depends on the operator’s experience and skill. The operator should adjust the machine according to room temperature, changes of temperature, moisture content, particle size and formula. As long as we master the technique of pellet plant, we can improve the output and work efficiency.
