Influence of high moisture content of material for wood pelle

When the wood pellet mill is making pellet, it is necessary to take good control of the moisture content of the materials. Or it will affect the output of pellet mill and molding of the pellet either. The required moisture content of the materials is about 15%-20%. If the moisture content is over20%, we do not advise you to use this kind of materials. 
 
Moisture content is the key element of affecting the pellet making machine. General moisture content of the materials is about 15%-20%. In general, we can adopt the way of drying to make the normal operation of the wood pellet mill if the moisture content is high. 1. When the dump material enters into the pellet making chamber, the compressing roller try to extrude the material into the die holes. It can generate very large pressure which causes high temperature and large amount of steams. 
2. Due to the high pressure from the material compressed into the die holes, motor of the sawdust pellet mill undertake overlarge loads. If the pressure is constant, motor will stop work and affects the bearing in the compression rollers. 
  3. when the material pass through the die holes, damp materials give rise to large pressure, which lower the speed of material which pass through the ring holes and affect the output of pellet.
4. The discharging pellets are soft, loose and present as pieces. That’s because of the high moisture content of pellets; it will expand at first and then release the water content. So the finished products of wood pellet mill can not achieve the ideal state, which the cylinders are not only smooth but also compacted. 
 
For the rotating wood pellet mill, there are two kinds of moisture contents for raw materials. The first is the moisture content of the materials itself. The second is the added water content during production. Materials own moisture content can be small or large, it depends on the feedstock and the water content added in the machine. Because the rotating sawdust pellet mill need to add a certain amount of water to mold. The way of adding water content is on the basis of practicality and as a result of molding, which could take advantage of sparing method and pouring method.
