Compression Ratio of Pellet Mill

Compression ratio of ring die means the ratio of effective working length divided by the diameter of die hole. Compression ratio can be selected on the basis of material formula and product requirement. The lowing of compression ratio can increase the output and reduce the energy consumption, wearing of compression roller. But the pellet is loose, different in length and high in powdery of pellet; on the contrary, the pellet is strong with smooth surface and lust in surface, but the production cost is high. The clients can select the compression ration of ring die according to their own requests.

The effect the clearance of compression rollers to pelletizing
1. Too large: if the clearance of roller is too large, the lay of material on the compressing area of pellet mill is becoming thick which increase the force to the compression area and the machine has high power electricity.

2. Too small: when the clearance is too small, the direct contact of compression roller has mechanical wearing, which affect the life service significantly. The leading mouth of ring die is out shape due to mechanical wearing of roller shell which makes the die hole difficult for feeding, reducing the yield of pelletizing. At last, it is difficult to make pellet or the production is stopped.

3. normal clearance of roller; it should adjusted that only one fourth of wok area can drive the rotation of roller shell when adjusted the ring die for a round by hand or it can be driven continuously. Under this situation, the clearance conforms to the requirement of pelletizing.
