Causes of blockage of the die in wood pellet mill

The blockage of the die in wood pellet mill would be caused by many factors. The main causes of blockage of wood pellet mill are as follows:


 
1. Feed rate is not uniform.
The raw material should be fed evenly into the wood pellet mill. Too fast or too slow feed speed would lead to the die blockage. If the blockage of die is caused by too fast or too slow feeding, first stop the feeding belt, take out the forming pellets in the die. Then, add material slowly and observe the discharge condition. If there is no abnormal situation, increase the feed rate. Adjust the feeding amount until the production is normal.
 
2. The material moisture is too high.
There are two requirements for the raw materials used for making sawdust pellets: the moisture content is between 10% and 15%, and the shape is sawdust. After entering the die of wood pellet mill, due to the friction of the roller and die, the material would be extruded and dried to a certain extent. When the feed rate increases, the moisture evaporation is small. If the moisture content of material is too high, it would block the die. 3. There is accumulated material in the wood pellet mill.
After the production of the wood pellet mill, the operator must clean up the accumulated materials inside the pellet machine. If the accumulated materials inside the pellet machine are not cleaned, the die would also be blocked. In this case, the operator should clean up the material after the wood pellet mill stops to ensure the normal production.
