How to reduce the wear of die in wood pellet mill

When using the wood pellet mill in the production, users should pay attention to the operation of wood pellet mill and avoid excessive damage to equipment. In the operation of wood pellet mill, the roller presses the material into the die holes forcefully, while there is no smooth and auxiliary materials in this process, which would intensify the wear of the die.

Under normal production conditions of wood pellet mill, the die must be clean with gasoline or diesel within 30 days, and inject the lubricating grease. Ensure that there is no rock or iron in the raw material in order to avoid damage to the die of wood pellet mill. In the production of wood pellet mill in winter, the machine should be preheated before working. Due to the cold weather in winter, the stability of wood pellet mill is lower, so the preheating time should be longer. When the temperature of the die rises, materials can be fed into the wood pellet mill, which can increase the yield and reduce the wear to wood pellet mill.
 
Then, how to effectively reduce the wear of die in wood pellet mill?
First of all, the material must be selected before feeding;
Second, the feeding of raw material should be uniform and don't accumulate too much material in the granulating chamber;
Third, the material should be crushed properly to make material particles kept within the most appropriate scope of wood pellet mill;
Fourth, the equipment needs a strong cooling system in order to reduce the working temperature of the granulating chamber, die and roller.
 
Below are several points for attention in the operating of wood pellet mill:
1. Refuel the transmission parts of wood pellet mill regularly. Lubricate the roller bearing every 2 hours and the fore bearing of spindle every 4 hours to guarantee the flexible rotation of the transmission parts in wood pellet mill and reduce the workload.
2. Replace the lubricating oil in the gear box of wood pellet mill regularly. For new wood pellet mill, the oil need to be replaced after operating half a month, then it should be replaced after working continuously about 1000 hours to prolong the service life of gear.
3. Check whether the connecting part is loose or not each weak carefully and whether the travel safety switch is reliable. Clean up the feeding auger and conditioner to avoid mechanical problems.
4. Check the abrasion of driving key, the die bush and the hoop every half mouth. Change them in time once the wear is found.
5. Use high quality ring die and roller. Do not use inferior ring die which is out of round and the inner holes are rough. Choose different compression ration of ring die according to different formula to ensure smooth discharging of the ring die and avoid increasing power consumption and reducing capacity.
6. Adjust the clearance of ring die and roller each shift. If the wood pellet mill get blocked, the operator should loosen the roller, clear materials in the inner wall of ring die and readjust the clearance. It is forbidden to start the machine forcibly to avoid damage of transmission parts and bearing retainer caused by severe vibration.
7. Prevent overload production. Production can't exceed the operational capability that wood pellet mill can withstand, or it will lead to the acceleration of motor damage and parts wear, shorten the service life of the wood pellet mill.
8. Iron and impurity removing of raw materials should be made. Clean the iron removal equipment each shift to avoid foreign bodies from entering the ring die, resulting in vibration and split of ring die.

Proper operation and maintenance of wood pellet mill are the key to extend the working life of the pellet machine, this requires operators to strengthen the management of equipment at ordinary times, then the benefit of the enterprise would be increased significantly.
