The use and precautions of the ring die in wood pellet mill

The clearance between the ring die and the roller is the key of the whole wood pellet mill, and the normal clearance should be between 0.1-0.3mm. The specific clearance adjustment is as follows:



1. The new roller and the new ring die: slightly larger clearance.
2. The old roller and the old ring die: smaller clearance.
3. Large aperture ring die: slightly larger clearance.
4. The ring die of small aperture: smaller clearance.
5. Materials easy to make pellets: large clearance.
6. Materials difficult to make pellets: small clearance.

When adjusting the clearance between the ring die and the roller, the operator need to pay attention to the following matters:
1. When using the new ring die of lower than φ2.5, wash the die with oil plants before starting the machine, and remove the burr in the die hole.
2. During the use of the ring die, it is necessary to avoid the mixing of hard particles such as gravel and iron in the material, so as not to lead to burst of the ring die.
3. The installation of ring die cannot be tilted, otherwise it will cause uneven wear.
4. Firm the ring die bolts to make it achieve the required locking torque to avoid bolt shearing or ring die damage.
