How to adjust the pellet length of wood pellet mill?

In actual production, different people have different requirements for the size of pellets produced by wood pellet mill. Generally, the length of pellets is 2 to 3 times of its diameter. For example, if the diameter of pellets is 3mm, its length is generally 6-9mm. Of course, the size of pellets can be made depending on your personal needs. The diameter of the pellets is determined by the hole diameter of the die, which can be accomplished by changing the die. Then, how can we adjust the length of pellets?

Generally, it can be achieved by changing the parameters of the device itself for the manufacturers of wood pellet mill. After purchase the equipment, we can only solve this problem by adjusting the cutting tool. The flat die pellet machine usually has a long and adjustable cutting tool in the discharging port, which can be adjusted according to the actual needs. Generally, the feed pellet is short and the fuel pellet is long. When adjusting, it should be noted that the distance between the cutter and the external diameter of die should not be less than 4mm, so as not to damage the blade.

In actual production, the adjustment of cutting knife is very flexible. One, two or three cutting knives can be used according to the need. Another case is, in theory, when two or three cutting knives are used at the same time, the distance of the cutting blade with the surface of die should be the same. However, the reality is not the case when making wood pellets. In the feeding of wood pellet mill, it can't be guaranteed that the amount of material assigned to each roller are completely consistent. Thus, the length of pellets are different in different zones. In this case, you should adjust each cutter location respectively. Make the cutting knife with fewer feed rate distribution closer to the surface of die to ensure the same length of pellets.
