Three pelletizing requirements of wood pellet mill

Normal and proper operation of wood pellet mill will directly affect the quality of the final product. The following are some pelletizing requirements of wood pellet mill combined with years of production experience of our company, hope it helpful for you.



1. The particle size of materials to be processed in wood pellet mill should be kept in a certain proportion: general materials should pass through the sieve two-thirds less than the diameter of the ring die holes totally.
2. The moisture content of materials after conditioning should be controlled in 15% ~ 18%. The forming rate of pellet is higher and the density is big under the condition of uniform moisture.
3. Magnetic separation device should be equipped before pelletizing, which would prevent the damage to the die of wood pellet mill and avoid unnecessary loss.
 
In the pelletizing process of wood pellet mill, the real center is the wedge-shaped zone between the roller and die. Almost all other equipment in the process of pelletizing are the auxiliary equipment of the most critical part. There are three pressure points:
1. The roller extrudes materials into the die.
2. The die itself has a kind of resistance, which can prevent the material from flowing through the die holes.
3. The pressure from the roller and the friction pressure from the formula itself. The pressure is used to press materials and prevent the material from ejecting in front of the roller along the surface of the die. 
As we increase the variable transmission or the adjusted value and increase the feed rate of wood pellet mill, the material quantity should be thickened in front of the roller proportionally. In other words, there should be a greater force to push the material into the wedging point of the press roller, rather than falling into it.
