Biomass pellet has become the energy with larger potential

The rapid development of economy needs energy, while the problem of the lack of traditional fossil energies including oil, gas and coal is becoming more and more serious. As the fourth-largest energy, biomass pellet becomes the energy with larger potential in the development of the new energy due to the features of renewable and zero carbon emissions.

Biomass pellet fuel, also called biomass moulding fuel, is the new type clean fuel taking agriculture and forestry wastes (such as straw, sawdust, bagasse, rice husk, etc.) as raw material through crushing, mixing, extrusion drying and pelleting with pellet plant.

The production equipment of biomass wood pellet fuel of pellet plant takes sawdust as raw material for biomass wood pellet fuel production. The production method is simple and suitable for industrialized production. Biomass wood pellet fuel produced by pellet plant has high calorific value, burning rate and thermal efficiency.

The production equipment of biomass wood pellet fuel in pellet plant includes the wood crusher, rotary dryer and pellet machine. There is a silo between the rotary dryer and the pellet machine. It is used for conveying of wood raw material and testing the moisture content of wood raw material. After crushing of wood raw materials by the wood crusher, it would be conveyed to the rotary dryer for drying so as to control the moisture content of raw material. Then, the raw material would be sent into the pellet machine for biomass wood pellet fuel production.

The moisture contents of raw material has larger influence on compression ratio of extrusion. Too high or too low moisture content is difficult to obtain ideal compression ratio, thus affecting the combustion heat value, burning rate and thermal efficiency of biomass pellet fuel. To ensure the proper moisture content of wood raw material, sawdust with higher humidity should be added in materials that are too dry; if the humidity is too high, the material need to be dried further.

To prevent the splashing of the raw material in the silo, the roof of the silo is equipped with a dust collector. There is a vibrating screen in front of the wood crusher, including the screen and the stock bin under the screen mesh. The stock bin is directly connected with the discharging mouth of the wood crusher by conveyor belt. Large wood materials on the screen would be sent into the inlet of wood crusher after screening through the conveyor belt.
