Advantages of feeding sheep with feed pellet

The daily feeding of small and medium-sized mutton sheep farm takes a lot of work and time. Besides, there are many shortcomings of feeding sheep with the mixture of powdered materials. There would be a lot of benefits if we can produce feed pellet according to the different production needs of sheep and combining



the local feed resources. General stud rams can be fed with the mixture of 46% of corn flour, 46%, 20% of bran, 28% of bean cake, 4% of fish meal, 1.3% of bone meal and 0.7% of salt; stud ewes can be fed with the mixture of 53% of corn flour, 26% of bran, 18% of bean cake, 1% of fish meal, 1% of bone meal and l % of salt; lamb with 48.5% of the corn flour, 10% of bran, 36% of bean cake, 4% of fish meal, 1% of bone meal and 0.5% of salt. If feed pellet is made according to the above feed formulation by pellet mill to feed sheep, it can not only save labor, but improve work efficiency and the growth of sheep, thus increasing the profit of the sheep raising.

1. Labor saving. Generally, a worker can feed 28 goat when compounding mixture feed. When feeding with feed pellet, due to the time of compounding is saved, a worker can feed 36 goats, thus the labor efficiency can be improved up to 28.57%.
2. Feed saving. When feeding sheep with power feed, the feed is easy to be scattered and make the sheep picky eaters. In the windy days, the feed would fly in the sky, which would be wasteful and the feed utilization rate is only 92%. When feeding the feed pellet, the sheep can't be picky and the feed utilization rate can reach 99%. Thus, 7% of the feed utilization rate can be improved.
3. Good palatability. The fragrance of feed can be increased after processing, which would stimulate the appetite of goats, increase the feed intake and digestibility of feed.
4. Improve the growth of sheep. Due to the processed feed pellet has smooth surface, high hardness and deep curing, thus it is favored by the sheep. Feed pellet can be chewed fully with high utilization rate of digestion and can promote the growth of sheep.
5. Long storage time. Moisture content of powder feed is about 15%, and it would absorb moisture easily and get metamorphic and agglomerate, thus the feeding value would be lowered. When the powder feed is processed into pellet, part of the moisture would loss. The moisture content of feed pellet is about 13% and it can be stored 3 ~ 4 months without getting bad under good storage conditions, which is 2 ~ 3 months longer than the powder feed more.
