Generally speaking, the products produced by pellet fuel production manufacturers of pellet plant can be divided into pellet and briquette according to the size. Pellet refers to the compressed cylindrical biomass small pieces. Its maximum diameter is 25mm. The briquette produced can be cylindrical, quadrate or other shapes. Its diameter should be larger than 25 mm and the length can not be more than five times than the diameter. According to the Swedish standard, biomass pellet in pellet plant can be divided into three levels. Pellet of the first level is the best among them. And pellet of the first level has the following data: the length is not more than 4 times of the diameter; the bulk density is more than 600; the durability is less than 0.8; net calorific value is greater than 16.9; the ash content is less than 0.7; the total moisture content is less than 10; the sulfur content is less than 0.08; the chloride content is less than 0.03.
 
Apart from mobility and compressibility, the following content is also required for fuel pellet of pellet plant: (1) The main content should conform to the requirements. (2) The moisture content should be controlled within 1% - 3%. (3) The powder should be controlled within 20% - 40%: because the surface area of fine powder is large with poor mobility,, but it can fill the space between the pellets and make its surface smooth. Therefore, according to production practice that when the weight is above 0.3g, fine powder containing can be controlled at about 20%; when the weight is 0.1- 0.3 g, the amount of fine powder is about 30%. (4) The hardness of pellet produced by pellet plant should be modest: generally, when rubbing with your fingers, the pellet should be crushed immediately. (5) Loose degree of pellet shall be proper: loose degree refers to the difference value of the weight of dry pellet of a certain volume of powder in compact and the weight of loose pellet. It is related to the size, tightness and the dosage of adhesive. If the loose degree is large, it shows that the pellet is relatively loose. Part of the pellet would turn into fine powder after vibration.
