Reasons for the shapeless pellet produced by pellet plant

When using the pellet plant to produce pellet, sometimes the pellet produced in shapeless, loose or even can not be pressed into pellet. The reasons for shapeless pellet can be divided into three aspects, one is the heating temperature and pressure, the second is the raw material and the last is the proportion of mixed material. The following is the specific analysis of the reasons:

pellet plant production

1. The heating temperature and pressure of pellet plant:
The results of many experiments show that too high or too low temperature and pressure will lead to the failure of the molding, also exert an important influence on the density of forming and the effect after forming. When the temperature is too low, it would reduce the heat input, which is insufficient material forming. It also increases the power consumption of pellet plant. If the temperature is too high, it will lead to serious thermal decomposition on the surface and make its intensity drops. Too high or too low Pressure will also affect the molding of finished product of pellet plant directly. Experimental results show that molding pressure of about 120mpa and the temperature of 140-180 degrees are advisable for wooden materials.

2. Raw material used in pellet plant:
Raw material would also affect the shape of pellet produced by pellet plant, especially the moisture content of raw material. The moisture content of raw material is an important indicator when producing pellet. Generally, the moisture content is required to below 20%. Of course, this value is not absolute. The requirements are different for different raw materials. When using pine, fir and eucalyptus to make pellet, the moisture content is required to be 13% ~ 17%. Sawdust, straw, paper scraps and other materials have different properties and the fiber structure is also different, thus the difficulty level of molding is different. Palm is one of the materials that are difficult to be pressed.

3. For mixed materials, the mixing ratio of all kinds of components can also affect the forming rate:
Compression ratio is a parameter of the die in pellet plant. It refers to the length of the die hole divided by the aperture. The greater the compression ratio, the thicker the die, the longer the material compression and the forming rate of pellet is higher. If the thickness of the die in pellet plant can not reach a certain standard, it is difficult for the molding of pellet. Another factor is the clearance between the roller and die. If the clearance is too large, certainly no pellet can be produced. Adjusting the clearance is a skilled job, you can consult our technicians.

Solution for shapeless pellet of pellet plant:
Factors for shapeless pellet of pellet plant can be partly controlled by the factory and customers themselves. To ensure the design of pellet plant and the quality of the product, you’d better choose manufacturer of large scale. As the users, you can control the raw materials by yourselves. If the moisture content of raw material is not appropriate, you can make an early drying. As for the problems of material ratio, whether the material is not suitable for making pellet and what kind of pellet machine is suitable you, we would help you to solve these problems and provide the right pellet plant for you.
